You can use this page to update the firmware on current BlaknBlu products.
Note that you need to use Google Chrome and it's recommended that you use MacOs, as Windows requires the installation of the WinUSB/libusb driver.

As we can’t possibly know anything about your computer or your rack set up etc., you change the firmware on your module at your own risk. However, if something does go wrong, please contact us and we’ll try to help out if we can.

General Instructions

1) Power off your rack and remove the module, but leave the Eurorack 16 way power cable attached. Updating the firmware needs the module to be powered from your rack.
2) Carefully connect the micro USB connector on the processor board on the module to your computer using a suitable cable.
3) Press and hold the tiny button on the module processor board labelled BOOT0 – it’s the one furthest from the USB connector – and turn on your rack power. Then release the button. You should get a message on your computer asking you if it’s OK to connect the DFU device. Say yes!
4) Click on the Connect button below. Chrome will open a window showing all the DFU devices connected (usually just your module). Select it and click connect. You should get a log message below saying that you have successfully connected.
5) Select the module type and firmware version required from the drop down menus. Note that programming firmware for the wrong module won’t work, and may damage something – not least your self-esteem. Take care.
6) Click on the Program button.
7) Once the update is complete, just click on the new OK button to clear the form, if you want to update the firmware on another product.
8) When all you updates are done, power down the rack, carefully remove the USB cable from the module and reinstall.
